#CardioTwitter NO WAY near ready, but when I am... Suggestions for how a retired cardio GC but also cardio genetics patient who's lucky to be around after 3 heart surgeries can still help other patients/families? Thinking volunteer work for @JohnRitterFdn or @MarfanFdn.

@colleencaleshu It is hard advocating so much for so long! It does weigh you down. Just had this conversation with my sister today. Come on people! It's for our kids and loved ones!

@CatherineCMayo @DNApodcast So true. I have taken advantage of emergency orders in multiple states since the pandemic began to get a temp license & see patients and family members in other states. Not looking forward to the day the flexibility goes away. This was a + outcome of the pandemic for me!

#gcchat Another reason for national licensure? Cascade testing. In today's era of #telehealth and saliva kits, I think one NY-based GC should be able to serve all of a patient's relatives whether they're in NY, NJ, or CT. 1/2

No joke- I just had a patient ask me yesterday about the role of mitochondria in familial aortic disease. Wish I had seen this first!

@DrChad_FGC @adidas I have thought about this a lot as I get ready to buy my sons new shoes while they wear shoes others would have to wear much longer. Please DM me, I want to help.
