There is good reason to criticize men who dress up their desires for non-monogamy in the language of feminist anti-racist progressivism, when it’s really just about getting women to do stuff those women really don’t want to do. The feminist movement is long overdue for a critique of the “consent” model of sex and relationships, where ethical boundaries are not drawn according to any moral code beyond request and permission.

I watched the Louis Theroux documentary on the Manosphere (it’s really good - do watch it). I saw it with my 18-year-old daughter. Five things I learned from viewing it with her:

Poly bait-and-switching needs to be unambiguously condemned by society. Getting someone to a point where they are already attached and invested in you (emotionally or also materially) and then springing polyamory on them CAN'T yield truly free "consent"
