I didn’t intentionally begin my 2-day #bikepack around Cayuga Lake on #WorldBicycleDay, but it’s a nice coincidence! Here’s to the #bicycle (that marvel of #sustainable transport), the beauty of the Finger Lakes, & @ChristmannTina, who first showed me how much fun cycling can be!

So chuffed to submit my PhD thesis today titled ‘Revisiting the science and practice of ecosystem restoration in tropical mountains’ and to be supervised by such supportive and passionate researchers @ioliverasmenor and @ymalhi! @oxfordgeography @rhodes_trust @OxfordEcosystem

Our paper ‘Disrupted montane forest recovery hinders biodiversity conservation in the tropical Andes’ is now published in @GEB_macro. Using 30m satellite 🛰 data we detect compromised forest recovery across the mountain range and large opportunity for forest #restoration
