@ridetoworkpol It's a 3 speed. Shimano sl-m310. They don't make the 310 anymore, so I've ordered a set of 315's. I'll swap them both over, and I may take the right 310 and put it on my son's bike. He's got a clunky grip shifter at the moment.

@Chrus_3 How many speed is it, I have kept a few shifters for parts.

Had my first mechanical on the bike today. Went to shift up a gear... **Thunk** Nothing happened. Shift down... Nothing. Sad face

@ridetoworkpol Pulled the shifter apart to see what was going on. The plastic bit the cable sits in had cracked and the cable end pulled through. A replacement shifter has been ordered.

@Chrus_3 Did you get it sorted?

We're sad to report that world marathon record-holder Kelvin Kiptum and his coach have lost their lives in a road accident in Kenya. Kiptum was 24 years old and ran his world record of 2:00:35 at last year's Chicago Marathon.

@bondigal I'd much rather have a shower door than a curtain, but this is the situation we're in so I'm going to make the most of it.
