I find it hilarious when FBAs say "we miss the days where America only consisted of white Americans & black Americans"; they are reminiscing on a past that is long gone & will never come back. America is now a nation of immigrants, it is now a melting pot of different cultures, languages, and people from all walks of life. The only people America truly belongs to are Native Americans, the true indigenous people of this land.

@akua_obeng42840 What’s funny to me is many of these same people will talk about being a multi racial Louisiana Creole or Grandfather is Italian or Irish or that Grandma was full blooded Cherokee with pretty long black hair and high cheekbones. Essentially saying exactly what she is saying. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I thought this conversation was over last year, the only reason why it's still going on is because the black community in America wants to live vicariously through Tyla, she is their beauty standard which is why they can never leave her alone. A mixed-race woman who is undeniably attractive refusing the black label is unforgivable to a lot of black people, that's considered the ultimate rejection because they need people like Tyla to make us feel more 'comfortable' in their blackness. People don't actually care about Tyla calling herself 'coloured', they're enraged that a multi-racial woman had the bravery and audacity to be honest about not being black, she was bold enough to not cater to black people's inferiority complex, that takes a lot of courage but she'll be heavily disliked for that one reason alone for the rest of her career.
