Super excited to watch Grain Valleys own Brody Magnon compete these next 2 days. The field is stacked for the Class 5 state tournament. Course is in great shape and we will be on site to watch our guy! We get going at 8:27 AM tomorrow off of the 10th tee. Let’s go low! ✅✅

Welcome to the 2025 MSHAA State Golf Tournament at Rivercut golf course in Springfield MO! Brody got a good practice session in today and was able to complete 11 holes today before the rain stopped play for the day. Was striking it well and learning a lot about the course today.

Congratulations to Charlie Aldred on one of the best careers in GV golf history. 4 time state qualifier and one of 2 golfers to ever qualify for the Class 5 state tournament in the history of GV golf. Super proud of you Chuck, congrats on a really great career.

Currently in a tie for 43rd in the best field in the state of Missouri. Super impressive

Charlie finishes with a final round 79 (+7) and finishes +9 for the tournament. Really good week for Chuck in his last high school golf tournament!! ✅✅✅

Congrats to Jack Hileman on competing in the Class 5 State tournament this week. I know it wasn’t the week he was looking for but he and Chuck are the first golfers in GV history to make it to the class 5 state tournament. That is a HUGE deal. Proud of all your hard work!!!

Hits a pretty decent chip there. Has 15 feet for a par

Hits a really nice punch shot underneath the tree at the 16th. Leaves himself a little chip shot just short of the green

Goes with a long iron off the tee at 16. It was headed left. Couldn’t tell where it ended up. Should be in play though

Didn’t quite have the line but it is still a solid par at 15. Remains +7. 3 holes remain for Chuck at the Class 5 State Championship.
