I wish radio presenters understood that they’re talking to a listener, not just vibing with themselves on air. I skimmed through almost 15 stations today, and it was the same thing self indulgent chatter, inside jokes with co-hosts, or just a complete lack of connection. The art is dying, and it’s heartbreaking. Gone are the days when a presenter would actually set the tone for the day: Good morning, it's XYZ FM. My name is Bla Bla Bla. Hope your weekend was great? mine was a downer ‘cause my team lost. But hey, whatever your pastime is, I hope it brought you more joy than mine did. Looks like rain today 26 degrees with a 45% chance of showers. Hope you grabbed an umbrella on your way out. It’s Lady Gaga’s birthday, and as she turns 39, she’s teaming up with Bruno Mars at the top of the Billboard 200 with this brilliant song.
