@thatssoleafy77 My biggest fear is that NHL cap projections going through roof but what if the revenue not there to match projections and the cap actually shrinks. If that happens then you have these role players making star player money in a smaller cap

@fcb_walssee I’m sure players will demand more. Just would be crazy for 2nd line 3rd liners to be getting 8+ million. Can see Smith vetting higher for sure but think the rest except Stenberg projections and Celebrini projection are pretty accurate

@ChumLine Why would celebrini sign a 7x12.5? Unless he gives a major major discount, he’s probably going to get at least 15 now with the current cap the way it and all those salaries will continue to increase.

@ChumLine Celebrini isn’t signing a 7 or 8 year deal. He’ll probably take 5 or 6 because the cap will increase by like $40M in that time and he can cash in on another deal that expires before he’s 30

@ChumLine 2nd pick *hopefully* be a 10-$11M player. Mack will get at least 15M. If Dickinson is a top-pair D he’ll get around $7M at least and guys like Igor and Graf likely each get $1.5-$2M more each. Not to mention you have to pay 4-5 more defenders, 5-6 forwards, a goalie, & the vets.

@ChumLine @canonvideoguy Mack’s agent is Pat Brisson, maybe the best agent in hockey who has clients like McDavid, Crosby, MacKinnon, Kane, Matthews, and Tavares. His job is to make sure clients (including Mack) do not get emotionally manipulated by front offices. His players don’t take discounts.

Will say a lineup going into next year of Stenberg- Celebrini- Smith Eklund - Wenneberg - Sherwood Graf- Misa- Chernyshov Toffoli- Ostapchuk- Goodrow/Dellandrea Would be insane. Age would be very young. Team would have an 18, 19, 2 x 20, 21, 3x23 year olds.
