This article is so reflective. It is easy to see why moral collapse precedes societal collapse which has been the case of our dear motherland, NIGERIA. tribuneonlineng.com/protest-that-r…

Dangote just told East African leaders he’ll build a second 650,000 barrel per day refinery in Tanga, Tanzania. Identical to the one in Lagos. Kenya, Uganda, DRC and South Sudan will supply the crude. A pipeline from Mombasa to Tanga will support it. Presidents Ruto and Museveni were both at the table when he made the commitment. Four to five years to build. The Iran war exposed how dependent Africa is on Middle East fuel imports. Some East African countries get 75% of their fuel from the Gulf. Dangote’s Lagos refinery is already shipping refined products to Tanzania, Ghana, Cameroon and jet fuel to Europe. Now he wants to replicate the whole thing in East Africa. From one refinery to a pan-African refining network. This man is not building a company. He’s building infrastructure for an entire continent.

This is the most unnecessary amd stupid hiring & firing in human history. Both should never have happened. You destabilized the trajectory of 2 young promising coaches doing well in your system, because of ego and stupidity. This is what you should never do as a business leader... understanding the right timing and context to promote and give opportunities to younger team members is very critical. It has to be done thoughtfully, with a clear plan for transition and support. Otherwise, you risk damaging confidence, derailing careers, and ultimately hurting the business itself. See the mess Chelsea FC has been thrown into? All the gains of the last 18 months seemed to have been reversed, because of ego and poor judgement by directors.

Sections 63, 138 of Electoral Act Dangerous Will Sabotage Voting at Polling Level - Igini Section 63 of the 2026 Electoral Act has reintroduced something very dangerous: a ballot paper used for the 2027 election that does not bear INEC’s official manufacturer and security features may be accepted by the presiding officer. By implication, the presiding officer has been given the discretion to accept ballot papers notwithstanding the absence of the official mark, and to count such ballot papers. What that means is that politicians who have access to INEC’s serial and security features could produce their own ballot papers. Mike Igini, Former INEC Electoral Commissioner

There was a flash flood on the airport road yesterday due to a clogged drainage, but they are working on it now. I have escalated to authorities. But the video they used in the tweet is NOT the airport road, and it was taken last year not yesterday. The video is from last year.

Around 11 p.m. last night, I got a call from someone. They said there’s an accident along Illisan, and they have called an ambulance, no response. I asked them how long ago did they call the ambulance, they said 15min, I said it’s not possible for Ogun State ambulance to not respond in that timeframe because they are on a Trunk B road. I asked which ambulance number they called. He said 112. I told him to call the Ogun State ambulance service number: 0811 200 0033 instead. He called back 10min later. That Ogun State ambulance had arrived at the scene, and they were on their way to OOUTH. When there’s an accident in Ogun State, call the Ogun State hotline FIRST before dialing 112. 112 is a short code, but the response time is not the same. 112 is a federal emergency line. They’ll do a lot of rerouting before they can locate you. The Ogun State emergency service will locate you quickly because the operators know everywhere in the state. {If you need proof that this happened, demand it, I’ll provide it} Just take the information. Please.

A dairy and cattle farming (5,000 cattle heads) has been sited in Yewa South and Ipokia LGAs. The investment is part of a $2.5bn investment agreed between the FG and JBL of Brazil (the world’s largest cattle rancher) sealed during that trip to Brazil with the President that DA was initially mocked for by twitter. The farms will start with 5,000 heads of cattle, and construction work will begin very soon. All the clearance needed has been done. There’s a whole new pasture industry coming up there as well. Because the investors would deploy an outgrower scheme for the production. 1 cow will consume 1 hectare of pasture per year. So, we are looking at 5,000 hectares of pasture development/management per year, which would be outsourced to locals. Governor Dapo Abiodun discussed this in detail earlier today at the Cultural Center during his meeting with the traditional rulers across Ogun State.

Story Time. Got this souvenir from the @afreximbank Annual Meetings in June in Abuja. Only just realised that the bag had this note inside it, explaining the origins of the towel. It comes from cotton grown in Africa, and transformed into finished goods at the $1B Glo-Djigbe Industrial Zone (GDIZ) in Benin Republic—a project of @AriseIIP, supported by AfreximBank. 14,000 people already work in the Zone, within 3 years of operation. Africa’s 21st century industrialization is already in progress, with GDIZ as solid proof. AriseIIP is developing a similar Industrial Zone in Ogun State, Nigeria: @IPR_FreeZone, which sits next to the new Gateway International Airport, and 80km from the MMIA, Lagos.

One of my greatest mistake in Life as a Farmer is being a FARMER. I shouldn’t have invested in a sector that is dependent on Government policies and bottlenecks. In my line of business, there’s no escaping Government inefficiencies. Nigerian Government will do everything in agriculture except solving problems. For more than 20 years farmers have been saying that we suffer seasonal Glut because we simply cannot individually afford Machinery for Egg Pasteurization. Government will listen to our complaints, lie that they are coming up with a NEGPRO scheme and go ahead to simply do the opposite of what was agreed. With high Electricity and Gas prices, investors are guaranteed not make their money back as Egg powder produced in Nigeria will fail to compete with Global market. Companies will rather import than buy made in Nigeria raw materials. State Governors are worse, they simply have no clue of what to do outside of using fertilizer as a political tool. They have refused to build or sustain any critical infrastructure (Dams, Health and safety of animals, meaningful collaborations or Training) The CBN under Emefiele refused to allow the Bank of Agriculture to do its job. With the growing insecurity and policy missteps farmers in Nigeria have little to no incentive to continue to run or grow their businesses. Don’t go into Agriculture, it’s simply not worth it.

He is so ignorant and loud as expected. Just like those who spitefully tagged the Gateway Airport a white elephant project last year. Let me educate him as I educated them. We are not just celebrating another airport in Ogun State, we are celebrating an Aerotropolis, a masterplan which follows the global model. I am sure he hasn’t heard that before. You guys won’t appreciate the plan now, but you will within the next 10 years. Surrounding the airport you have: Gateway Aviation Village: A 300-unit housing scheme. The residential backbone. Nigerian Customs training school and forward operating base. That is a strategic federal security establishment. ARISE Integrated Industrial Platform (IIP) Project. A >$2 billion garment & textile industrial hub. Forming one of the largest manufacturing clusters in Africa, with a capacity of 4.4 million garments daily. That is the industrial engine. There’s also the Iperu Industrial zone. Special Agro Processing Zone (SPAZ): backed by AFREXIMbank and ARISE IIP with an initial investment projected to be around $400m. -The first AFREXIM African Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC) for Agro Export standardization is located around the Ogun Industrial/Agro belt, which is in proximity to the airport. The airport itself is currently the most technologically advanced airport in Nigeria. The first-ever airport in Nigeria, and still the only airport to be granted the Aerodrome Operational Permit. 50 cargo flights before the end of the year. It’s not by na me first do am. What is your plan after constructing the airport? To build hotels and clubs around it, which only has booming visitors once a year, or to build something that will boost productivity to help your state achieve its greater plan of becoming the China of Sub Saharan Africa? Enjoy your sold out European tour, chief

I wonder Jarus views in 2014 sha. However, I don't anyone should expect GenZ kids who are watching their lives waste away to be civil and friendly online. They are emotional and pained because they have social media and can clearly see how much better their lives can be with little effort from leadership. Cut them some slack!
Sir J (J9)@SirJarus

Politics Twitter is the craziest place I have ever seen in my life. If you do an analysis that doesn't support their emotions-driven political choices, you have been bought 😀 Never seen such delusion in 30+ years of discussing politics.
