Just for interest the Environmental Team sowed a Hedgerow Meadow Mixture around the Henge on Saturday, so fingers crossed, 🤞🏻 Supported by Morley Glass & The Transpennine Route Upgrade

We had the specialists down today to test out our new rubbing posts, we have to thank Louis & Jonah for their help, they will be sending Uncle Colin & Peter a full report.🤣

A steady Tuesday for the crew, Cat Colin & Dave D fitted the 2nd bench for the Morley Grief Group by the orchard on the top path, the bench has got good views over West Leeds. While Dave R was on maintenance duties but importantly doing puncture repairs to one of our trollies.

The Tuesday Crew split into 3 teams, Dennis's Team did more work in Crossland Road Cemetery which included repairing the entrance gate, Dave & Co repaired a step on Pit Hill before securing and re painting the donation box stand recently damaged by Vandalism.

Erica's Team continued with the archaeological dig, and finding more mysterious anomalies. Amber Beth & Natalia's had a brain storming session 😱 discussing future projects🤫, watch this space, before they moved onto seed collecting in the wild flower areas, and general tidying.

A very busy Saturday, with a full team, Dennis Kirsty and the 'Elite Strimming Team' started work on tidying the Crossland Road grave yard, while Jack & Alfie of the 'Elite Mowing Team', tried to achieve Colin's standard on mowing around the Jubilee Oak🤔

A depleted Monday Team this week due to holidays, so there was some drain maintenance done after the weekends heavy rain, planting more wild flowers mainly Foxgloves, plus the usual weekly Monday afternoon tasks of topping & cleaning the bird feeders and general maintenance.

The 'Elite Strimming Team' cancelled strimming duties due to this new 'invisible rain' stuff, but never put off our younger volunteers saw the sun was cracking the flags, so transferd thier loyalties to help our more hardened volunteering teams.

A busy Thursday again, the Morning Crews working the Dipping Pond Garden, and did some fence/gate repairs, while the Afternoon Gang continued with the buttress wall in Clarkspring Woods.

A steady day for the Monday Crew between the showers again, so a bit of tidying up along the footpaths paths, some bug house maintainance, balm bashing, and the usual bird feeder top ups.

The Afternoon Gang, moved one of the large flower tubs, back from across the roads to its proper place by the bottle banks. Then move onto collecting and moving to site more donated stone & topsoil for the buttress in Clarkspring Woods.

The Thursday Teams have been out again today in full force( after been caught not on CCTV last week🤣), 'The Early Doors Team' continued painting the many benches, while the Thursday Morning Crew started work on the Dipping Pond Garden.

Also a bit of mowing training that's once I'd worked out you need petrol for the mower to work, it can be a steep learning curve!🤣🤣🤣

A varied Tuesday afternoon for the team, Colin & David 'D' fitted a kiddies reading bench by the library, Dennis & Chris worked on the buttress wall, while Dave 'R' & Co put in a base for a poo bin, the last of the 6 wooden poo bins, designed & constructed by Colin & his team.

A busy day cutting back and a bit of strimming today between the showers for the MondayCrew, plus the usual Monday tasks.

Amber ran another one of her popular 'Intro to Safe Strimming' Courses again today, for another batch volunteers destined to join the the 'Elite' Footpath Maintainance Team. Well done Alfie, Jacob, Chris & Garry👍

Amber and her crew, planted up the balance of wildflower in the new wildflower area, and then move onto 'International Stickleback/Tadpole Rescue' in the drying out beck, and a bit of Balm Bashing along the way, so a successful afternoons work.

Another busy Saturday dispit the Showers, Dennis & Andy and the Strimming Team tackled clearing another couple of paths, While Erica and her team continued with the ongoing archaeological dig,

Back to our normal tasks this afternoon, it was onto collecting a load of donated stone, Chris & Garry did some stirling gound works for the Erica and her Archaeological Team, Dave & Dennis moved the stone to site, and Colin & Co remove the damaged seat in the war memorial garden
