I'm speaking as an adult male from #Africa who only has a Nigerian passport. Careful what you support. We're returning to a world of might is right. The post WW2 order is being trashed. Imperfect as it is, gave us a glimmer of a chance. We'll miss it when it's gone.

A big problem with public discourse today is that too many people are unable to look at the evidence and move away from their initial positions when the evidence shows they are wrong. This is a global problem, as too many with that mindset have made it to the top of politics.

A more honest humanitarianism recognises that conflating ancient Israel with the modern nation-state serves political ends, not theological truth. Spiritual lineage is defined by faith, not citizenship. Peter dismantles this entirely in Acts 10:34-35. God shows no favouritism. Access to the divine is universal, determined by character and devotion, not by geopolitical borders. Faith, not passports, is what matters.
Sam Amadi@SamAmadi

This is old humanitarianism. All people must be God’s people. That is not true. Those who accept God’s message are God’s children. Isreal is God’s people in a unique manner. Through Abraham and his seed God brought truth to humans. It does not make others less beloved. But to deny this uniqueness is to fall into the grand error that all roads lead to God. No. There is one true humanitarianism. Through Jesus Christ (a Jew) all people can be God’s people

In Isaiah 19:25, God was very clear that the people of Egypt and Assyria are also His people. This is the God of the Old Testament, which is why I chose that verse. God is just. We should not blindly support injustice because of faulty interpretation of scripture.
Sam Amadi@SamAmadi

If you are a Christian who understands the Bible and who is obedient to the purpose and plan of God, you will never ‘hate’ Isreal. Isreal is imperfect and extremely wicked like all other nations. But through Isreal, God purposed the redemption of humankind. The church is the new creation. But Isreal is still the people of God who will still be saved by God at last

The #IranWar‌ is teaching the whole world geopolitics in real time. The unfortunate outcome though, will be the de jure end of the post World War II order. As I have said before, hypocritical though it was, Pax Americana was the best humanity had had since Pax Romana. How long before we get another long peace? Scary times...

@Chxta At the risk of you cutting my head off, the NFF official is right. Disciplinary actions for match play misconduct is very different from a protest filed concerning players being ineligible to play in a game. Let’s see how this pans out…

How the fuck is an NFF official still saying, “The fact that DR Congo appears among the six nations to compete for the final two spots in the playoff is not enough to jump to the conclusion that FIFA has thrown out Nigeria’s petition. ” premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines…

In September last year, I did a small tour of #WestAfrica. A part of it was by road. As in #Nigeria, the quality of roads in a region is related to the perceived legitimacy of the state in the eyes of its inhabitants. My analysis for @TheIdeasLetter: bit.ly/3PpnEIw
