@ChyronBob it is pretty obvious that Suarez has been pretty shaky the last 10 or 15 outings. Do you have stats comparing the beginning of the season to the end. Bb, bb%, avg, ops, k, k% etc. Pretty sure it isn't our imagination. He got pretty lucky last night.

For those of you who were hoping @Padres pitcher Jeremiah Estrada would get the immaculate inning (9 pitches, 9 strikes - he didn't) in the top of the 7th, only Brian Lawrence vs BAL June 12, 2002 has that honor in SD history.

@lvignapiano Yes the Padres do lead MLB with 125 GIDP this season, 1 more than the Yankees with 124. Manny Machado leads all MLB hitters with 25 GIDP with Josh Bell being next with 22

@ChyronBob Do the Padres lead the league in GIDP? Seems like they kill too many rallies with double plays.

Down 5-0 early, the @Padres are chipping away and are down 5-3 currently in the 6th. Should they mount the epic comeback they would tie the 1984 team for most comebacks from 5+ run deficits with 4 wins in SD history

@aedmondstv Take note that the graphic says "as catcher" which means that was his position at the time of the HR. Example: W. Smith hit 2 of his 15 HR this season as a DH. The difference between "as" and "by".

Just reflecting on the @Padres game taking 1 hr 59 minutes to play last night. Seemingly rare in these days of lengthy commercial breaks & pitching changes, I go back to 1976 and count 25 Padres games that finished in under 2 hours. Ah, the good ol' days.

For Manny Machado that was his 153rd career HR with the @Padres putting him 1 behind Dave Winfield for a tie for 4th all-time in Padres history

That's the 10th no-hitter I have witnessed in my baseball fandom - 2 by the @Padres, 7 by opponents, and one that I was in the stands (Kevin Gross, LAD vs SF) and it's still a thrill to witness!
