She told me that my family can never sleep over in our house after marriage, but her own family can stay anytime because she trusts them more and doesn’t want “in-law problems” in the marriage. I didn’t argue. I didn’t explain. I didn’t stress myself. I simply ghosted her and moved on. Marriage is hard enough already. Starting it with one-sided rules and double standards is a red flag I can never ignore. Some people don’t want partnership, they want control. Would you have stayed?
