The fact that 4B has gained international fame despite being an extremely small minority actually did a disservice to Korean feminists.
The movement was amplified by Western media,and this diluted what Korean feminists really wanted many of them don't even identify as 4B.
Those who promote 4B don't even live in the Korean social context and don't live in Korea.

한국에 다녀온 외국인들이 한국은 과대평가됐고 일본이 더 낫다고 하는 말을 얼마나 많이 들었는지 몰라. 그런데 한국에서 뭘 봤냐고 물어보면 고작 서울에서 사흘 있다 왔다고 하더라고. 음식 이야기도 마찬가지야. 한국 음식을 고기 구워 먹는 걸로만 단순화해 버리지.
그런 말은 대부분 만화나 게임 같은 가상 세계에 빠져 있는 외국인 남자들한테서 들었어. 일본이 외국인들의 상상력을 크게 사로잡는 건 지금도 그런 콘텐츠를 끊임없이 만들어 내고 팔아대기 때문이야. 반면 한국은 현실 세계를 다루는 콘텐츠를 더 많이 판다는 거지.
결국 어떤 나라를 미워하는 것도 군중심리일 뿐이야. 한국을 미워하다가도 한 시간 뒤엔 한국 제품을 쓰고 있더라고.
