🚨ICYMI🇬🇧🎶❌: Today’s developments in the Kanye West/Wireless Festival saga: The UK Home Office banned Kanye from entering Britain, calling his presence “not conducive to the public good.” Wireless Festival immediately cancelled its entire July event and began issuing full refunds to ticket holders. In response, Kanye released a public statement offering to meet members of the UK Jewish community and perform at the festival as a “show of change,” writing: “I would be grateful to meet with members of the Jewish community… to show unity, peace and love.” He signed it “With Love, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West.” The Board of Deputies of British Jews replied that it is willing to meet him as part of his “journey of healing,” but only if he agrees not to perform at Wireless this year. Separately, festival organiser Melvin Benn revealed that lead sponsor Pepsi had initially signed off on and approved Ye’s headline appearance before later pulling out.
