* Lowell Flooding Update - 9:45 AM February 23, 2018* We are getting multiple reports of Sewer Backups in the City in the area north of Main St and east of Monroe St. Department of Public Works is aware and is looking to do what they can to relieve this at this time.

DPW staff along with the LPD worked throughout the evening and early morning Access to all streets S. of Main between Main and Division has been limited or closed. Bowes is closed from Hudson and Pleasant. Please don't drive through them!

Lowell Flooding Update - 8:00 AM February 23. The reading on the Hudson Street Bridge had a level of 17.47 feet. This is still 1 foot less than the National Weather Service projection of the river cresting at 18.4 feet beginning at 7:00 PM this evening.

A transformer fire near the library has knocked out power to many residents and businesses in Lowell.
