We are sad to announce that we are cancelling our Easter Egg Hunt event that was scheduled for this Saturday, April 4, at Centennial Park. The forecast predicts rainy weather for nearly all of Saturday, so we felt this is the safest option.

Don't forget! Today, between 10 AM and 12:30 PM, the City of Commerce will be taking part in a Statewide Emergency Notification test. Should hazardous weather be present in our area during the test window, the weather sirens will not activate and will be tested by other means.

This Friday, Commerce City Hall and all non-essential services will be closed for Good Friday, April 3. We will reopen on Monday, April 6. #commercetx #commercecityhall

Coming soon! We're getting ready to open the Splash Park! The official first day of reopening for the Commerce Splash Park will be May 22. Mondays are usually closed for maintenance, but we WILL be open that following Monday, May 25.

The City of Commerce would like to recognize the partnership with Hunt County Precinct 4 for the maintenance and repair of Pritchard Road. They are saving thousands of dollars for Commerce citizens! Thank you, Commission Steve Harrison, and the Precinct 4 crews!

The City will host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 and it's for everyone to join! The egg hunts will have several different age groups and even the Easter Bunny will be there to take photos with the kiddos! It will start 10 AM in Centennial Park.

Tomorrow is Primary Election Day! For those in Precinct 427, come to Commerce City Hall to put it your votes. If you're in Precinct 428, you will vote at the First United Methodist Church in Commerce. Commerce City Hall will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM for voting.

PRESS RELEASE: No other candidates have filed for a place on the ballot for the May 2, 2026 General and Special Election. Thus, the Commerce City Council will schedule a Special Council Meeting in the near future to discuss the cancellation of the May election.

For anyone wishing to put their name on the ballot to run for City Council Place One, Place Three, or for Mayor; you have two more days left to file all the necessary paperwork! The deadline is this Friday, February 13. This is for the local election on May 2.

Public reminder that a chlorine water treatment is underway this month for the City of Commerce! Your water might taste different, but there are no harmful effects. This conversion treatment will end on Feb. 28.
