*** Public Announcement ***
On the morning of Thursday May 7 the City will be treating all our parks for weeds. During operations we would ask the public to avoid the parks until the application has dried (approximately an hour). We apologize for the inconvenience while we work to keep our parks maintained.

The City of Mayer will be implementing a new online utility billing portal service for our residents and your convenience!
Currently, bills are available through paper mailing or our email system only. Payments made by credit card are routed through another system. The online portal service will combine all of these into one as well as offer additional features shown on the flyer.
Signing up and creating an account is not required but highly encouraged. There is no cost to do so. You may still elect to receive paper copies of your bill mailed to you. You are free to continue paying by check, stopping in with exact change cash, or via our ACH autopay. Paying by credit card will entail a service fee as is the case with our existing credit card payment system.
We anticipate going live with the online portal service in May 2026. Once a final date is set we'll send out another update.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Alicia at City Hall (952-657-1502) or email at cityclerk@cityofmayer.com
Thank you!

We'd like to remind everyone that as spring approaches this is also the time of year where we see the risk of theft rise as well. We encourage everyone to keep opportunities for thieves low by locking your vehicles, keeping garage doors closed, and removing valuables from your vehicle when possible.
Thank you

The City of Mayer Public Works Department will be flushing hydrants over the next couple of weeks. Hydrant flushing in your area may cause slight discoloration in your water and is nothing to be concerned about. If you notice discoloration just run your tap for a bit and it should clear up. The discoloration is caused by minerals in the water pipes flushing out.
Thank you!

The 2026 spring cleanup and citywide garage sales dates have been finalized! This year the spring cleanup will be on May 9 with the citywide garage sales the weekend prior of May 2. See the attached flyers for more information.
As an annual reminder, the City does not organize or list the individual garage sales. We only choose the weekend it falls on (the weekend before the spring cleanup day). Be sure to check social media and other spots for advertised garage sales.
