We remember the heroic crew of Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 116 who lost their lives in the service of others off the Mayo coast, Capt. Dara Fitzpatrick, Capt.Mark Duffy, Winch Operator Paul Ormsby and Winch-man Ciarán Smith. "All gave some, some gave all. "Go Mairidís Beo".

Last week several of our volunteers undertook both initial and refresher Swiftwater & Flood Responder training courses. Well done to all who took part and a big thanks to our instructors Lee, Colin and Padraic from Kilkenny for their time and expertise. @CivilDefenceIRL

Kildare Civil Defence was allocated funding to purchase a new boat which was supplied by Inland Inflatable Boats Limited. This is a welcome addition to our county. Thanks to the Civil Defence Branch for their assistance in acquiring this boat. @CivilDefenceIRL @KildareCoCo
