How to convince my wife to be onboard with us moving from Carson City NV to Las Vegas NV? Ideally I’d love to move back to LA however, there’s no hope for home ownership there. At least in Vegas, it’s still within reach.

Kind of over my ROG Ally X. It’s been great but I’m really not a fan of how bulky it is. I’d love to get rid of it and get a GPD WIN 5 but they currently cost more than my monthly mortgage. :(

@Wario64 Already an owner of a Pocket and other Analogue products but I hate that their drops always follow their announcement by a few days. No time to adequately prepare and budget. It’s awful.

99.9% of streamers playing a Pokemon game are soft resetting for a shiny starter. Hardly any I ever come across are actually playing the game. Whatever works I guess.

After building a career in a corporate environment, I’ve struggled finding work aligned with my background, and settled for a job at a local Wells Fargo branch. Both the job and pay suck. Working remote in a small town is a dangerous risk. Don’t do it. Not in this economy.

Word of advice to anyone who lives in a big city, has a good paying job that’s remote and is considering moving to a different state with a lower cost of living to save money long term: DON’T. I made that mistake, got laid off a few years later and now I’m paying the price.

I’ve decided I want to move back to LA. Not sure if or when it will happen, but I’ve concluded that I’m no longer happy here in Carson City. A lot to figure out from here on out.

I hate seeing TikToks based in LA because it makes me want to move back. I miss the food, the freedom to do anything, the convenience of everything, the nightlife - I miss it all. Carson City/Reno NV doesn’t compare. I’d happily deal with LA traffic and all its flaws again.

@News4Reno Wish they would widen the 95 to and from Vegas. That 1 lane per direction for 90% is absurdly dangerous.
