Mistrise Village is extremely powerful in Cascade decks, making your Living End / Crashing Footfalls uncounterable, although a great counterplay to that is Sink into Stupor, which is outstanding in any Cascade strategies (it wasn't printed back when Outburst was legal). #MTGModern

@PiemontiAndrea Good game, I am the one who just played the mirror with you
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes I do not think I would conclude that my opponent didn't have a removal spell simply because they didn't use it on a 1/1 token that dies at the end of the turn anyway.
English

@DanRed50295234 @fireshoes Yeah, therefore I can only complain it on the X here
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes Unfortunately, based on the rules as they are written and interpreted, the judge call in your case was correct. I don't particularly agree with reversing game actions but it is what it is.
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes Why would you ever respond to Dalkovan Encampment mainphase with a removal spell? The only information gained here is that you don't have something weird like Trickbind.
English

@KaramVinicius @fireshoes And also according to your opinions, if I have removals, I should kill the creature ASAP. Otherwise I will give my opponent the time to take back his play:)
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes Your removal spell scenario makes no sense since - again - you could just wait for combat. Imagine you actually HAD the removal spell and your opponent got "the tell" that you didn't by taking it back lil
English

@KaramVinicius @fireshoes The point is: in chess or poker, every action matters. You can not take back after you make a move or make a bet in an official tournament. I think there should be no difference especially in competitive MTG tournament, especially in pro tour.
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes You don't believe in scenarios where no information is gained regardless of priority? Because there are plenty of examples, even with open mana. I don't think your situation leaves any interpretation for a different outcome but maybe a slightly different scenario would.
English

@KaramVinicius @fireshoes the out come will be different totally based on what he played on that turn.
English

@DanRed50295234 @fireshoes Yep, that’s why even the commentator said the judge should not let Seth take back in the live. Since everyone thinks he shouldn’t.
English

@fireshoes @ClamDzw It seems like the same situation as Seth's at the Protour. Its not a popular call but its reversible. No definitve info was gained.
English

@KaramVinicius @fireshoes I can understand it’s okay based on the rules now. Therefore I respected the judge’s decision during the tournament. But I personally think the “take back” should only happened before you pass the priority. You can not wait for your opponent’s response and then change your mind.
English

@ClamDzw @fireshoes You are stretching the definition of "no new information" to the point that nothing would fit. It you feel like this is a problem and 0 takebacks should be allowed at all times then I get your point but respectfully disagree. Current policy was correctly applied either way.
