👏 Great to see Climate and Nature Crisis Caucus Vice-Chair @pippaheylings' introduce a Bill to protect chalk streams today in Parliament. We urge the Government to support her plan before we irreversibly harm these globally rare habitats. 👇 Hear more about Pippa's Bill below.

Bumblebees and butterflies are now emerging from hibernation. Growing nectar-rich plants like these can be a real lifeline for hungry pollinators – and letting dandelions grow is one of the easiest ways to help! More: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/break…

Growing native plants can really boost biodiversity. The best way to help all sorts of wildlife is to create densely planted, nectar-rich spaces, with plenty of native plants – but it's okay to include some non-native garden favourites, too! Ideas: littlegreenspace.org.uk/features/nativ…

The triumphant vote for swift bricks to be mandatory in all new dwellings in Scotland is wonderful news. But it sharpens focus again on how deplorable was UK Labour’s decision not to help these marvelous birds👇
Dr Tom Montgomery@DrTOMontgomery

#birds Swifts fly thousands of miles to breed in the UK—only to find their nest sites blocked up. Their ancient forests with nest hollows now gone, they relied on cavities in buildings, but these, too, have disappeared. To stop their steep 2/3rds decline since 1995, an inexpensive swift brick nest box was proposed to be incorporated by law into new buildings—also helping other red-listed cavity nesting bird species. But in a vote last night, UK Labour destroyed a golden opportunity to do this small thing for one of the most nature-depleted countries in Europe.

Ridiculously excited to hear Grey Partridge calling in the field behind my garden this morning! Here’s a clip I took yesterday of a pair that were a couple of miles from the house. Great to see several pairs of this Red Listed bird in the area @_BTO @StephenMoss_TV #Lincolnshire

🚨 It's official! Swift nesting bricks have passed the Scottish Parliament and will now become law. Swifts are in serious decline across the UK. This will help reverse that trend and make our communities more liveable for birds. @markruskell and @WriterHannahBT explain 👇

No tree pit? No problem! Some councils we are partnered with will create a tree pit to accommodate your preferred tree location. However, if you have an empty tree pit in your neighbourhood, you may want to consider giving it a new tenant!
