@StevenG57428175 @deusimpera Going to mass there is not a sin and the sacraments stay valid there. It only is a violation of church law but nothing else. But I don't want to overly defend SPPX like I said, I view the situation very critically as well

@StevenG57428175 @deusimpera Pretty good article, thanks for sharing. I am not a SSPX extremist, I just like going there for confession and mass sometimes because it's close and good. If they are excommunicated I won't attend SPPX anymore that's clear to me, but as of now it still is fine

I was considering attending the SSPX consecrations (since I'm only a train ride away), but there are rumors that Rome will excommunicate everyone participating. It's just a rumor, but unless someone debunks it, I'm not going to risk it.

@StevenG57428175 @deusimpera I know about their history. But as of right now they are not excommunicated and can legally gift the sacraments. Until they become excommunicated again, they are not schismatics. They also recognize the Pope and pray for him every mass

@AlexKristos9 in fact the majority believed in it, only when the Pope introduced it as a Dogma the Orthodox became mad making it only an authority issue, not an theological issue. To put is simple eastern Orthodoxs split up from Catholics because they had less authority, nothing else

@AlexKristos9 The Catholic Church literally was the church founded by Christ. The orthodox churches were part of the Catholic Church until 1054. If you say the Catholic Church does not have apostolic succession you're saying your church does not have apostolic succession too

@ahojyo_sk @Verlustt11 Der Core der Messe ist ja auch gleichgeblieben. Ich gehe in die Messe wegen der Eucharistiefeier bzw. Kommunion. Alles außen herum ist erstmal weniger relevant. Und Änderungen sind ja per se nichts schlechtes, du bist ja auch eher liberal also müsstest du da eig zustimmen
