Hospice Quinte currently operates six beds and is fundraising to expand with four additional beds. Great start to the day with the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce at Isaiah Tubbs Resort and Conference Centre. Mayor Steve Ferguson shared an update on what’s happening in “The County”, including it being more than a summer destination, with activities and opportunities year-round. He also spoke to the ongoing need for increased infrastructure funding and the Community Improvement Plan project being developed.

Canada’s average asking rent has reached a new bottom, tumbling 2.8 per cent year-over-year in February, helping to restore affordability to levels not seen in years. Rents have declined on an annual basis for the 17th consecutive month, falling by 1.3 per cent from January to February, according to the latest data from Rentals.ca and Urban Nation. During the event, CLAR's President, Christine Riley; CEO, Wendy Giroux; CPAO, Lisa Comerford; Past President, Meredith Kennedy; and CLAR Members Don McColl and Paul Etherington were also recognized for recently earning their Certified Non-Profit Leadership Associate (CNLA) Designation, highlighting their commitment to strong leadership and governance within the real estate association community. CLAR Member Meredith Kennedy was acclaimed as Provincial Director for Central Ontario, CLAR Member Don McColl was acclaimed as Provincial Director for Northeastern Ontario, and CLAR Member Paul Etherington is continuing into the second year of his two-year term as Director-at-Large. With these appointments and recognitions, CLAR continues to demonstrate strong leadership and active involvement, ensuring the association is proudly and effectively represented at the provincial level.

CLAR President Christine Riley was honoured with a Fellowship, CLAR Member and Past President Vicki Sweeney was elected as REALTOR® Director, Central Ontario, and CLAR Member Elyse Gallagher was acclaimed in her position for REALTOR® Director, Northeastern Ontario. CLAR's Rhonda Foskett was also recognized with a Fellowship for her 29 years of service with the Association. Three CLAR Members—Sylvia James, John Hope, and James Trudeau—were honoured with ORCF Fellowships, recognizing their remarkable 50 years of membership and dedication.
