@ItsBenCowell Fair point and really interesting. Having looked into it, Channel 4's FOI service is pretty good and transparent – however I would have assumed the requests came under ethics. Absolutely fascinating that the call can come from inside the house and no one can can move.

@ClareBarry Production company who we’re going to put out a show on c4, raised a freedom of info request with corporate c4. “They” didn’t raise a request to “themselves”. Legislation doesn’t cover the request (this is clear and production company could or should have known this)

So, Channel 4 asked Channel 4 for information, and Channel 4 said it was not under legislation to do so? #Dispatches

What’s blowing my head off is that I first heard about this expose in 2020 — but NO ONE and I mean NO ONE wanted to give actual names, because they were scared of legal consequences. When it didn’t appear after a year, or even two years, I assumed the expose had been halted.

To see it roll out like this 3 years later is bonkers

Honestly. What do you say? I only worked with @maddy_anholt once or twice. I didn’t ‘know’ her. But I knew how good she was. I wished I knew her better. I knew she was one of those people that people want to be. We’ve lost someone special. The awkwardness of telling her now gone

She was, and I have no doubt will continue to be, the most optimistic person I have ever met. Pure sunshine personified, a force to be reckoned with, and terrifyingly (!) efficient. The world is so much less without her, but her legacy is astounding, and positive, and sunny.

Aside from her kindness and brilliance, Maddy Anholt was hilarious. Hilarious. She had the rarest ability to turn even the worst scenarios into a gentle, astute, slapstick bit – and her laugh would light up a stadium, nevermind a room.

Someone please leak the X deck. Please.
