Richard Bland is confirmed to be returning to the LIV Golf League next season for Cleeks GC. Richard has a remarkable story, peaking late in his career into his 50s, and after narrowly missing out on the Lock Zone this year, it’s really good to see his play rewarded with a new contract on LIV Golf. This will be his 5th consecutive season on the league after originally only signing for a 1 year deal.
Cleeks GC are still looking to fill one spot on their rosta though after Frederik Kjettrup was relegated this year. There’s strong rumours that they’re in conversations with young European players to potentially bring one in for 2026. Hopefully there will be some news on that soon.

Over the last few weeks, LIV Golf have been in discussions with all out of contract players who have not been released by their teams or relegated. Sources have confirmed that most of them have already agreed new deals and all of them are expected to do so, including the star names. This will be a welcome bonus to LIV Golf who have had to deal with lots of unsubstantiated speculation this year about players wanting to leave. There is currently no indication that any top players will be doing so during this off season or next. There are also several franchises that are looking to recruit at least 1 player for 2026. Team principles say that they are using data analysis models, in particular from the sports betting world, to identify and select new talent, with an emphasis on signing players who fit the unique format of the league and can immediately put in results. With team purses set to double, this is the most important off season yet for the franchises on the LIV Golf League. News about specific player signings and re-signings should start flowing soon when the contracts are fully finalised.

The #RyderCup is very simple to understand.
1 - we have a much better captain who has set the team up for success
2 - our player thrive on the tension and atmosphere
3 - the US seem to have only 4-5 that actual really want to be there!

52 year old Richard Bland just holed out from 253 yards for an albatross on the 575 yard 16th. He’s 4 under for his round and inside the top 10 at LIV Golf Mexico. He keeps getting better with age!! 🙌

Old father time is a complete bugger and there will come a point in the not too distant future when he just can't keep up with the younger guns.

@heathyblandy @ClareCday @livgolf_league Yes Heath, it's been disappointing all these app glitches and communications about where and how to watch in general tbh. At least we're not paying for anything yet in the UK and there are currently 3 ways to watch the action. Anyshot/anytime worked a treat last season.
