11 years ago, 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians were beheaded by ISIS in Libya for refusing to convert to Islam. Their last words were: “Jesus, I love you.” Remember, no one marched for them. Not a single protest for them!

You may not agree with me, but you will always know where you stand with me. Today in Billericay, a heckler tried to shout me down as I spoke about the normalisation of hatred towards Jews. I did not back down, because it needs to be said. British Jews are being targeted and too many people are pretending this is the same experience of other minorities. This lady implied Muslims are being similarly targeted. This is simply not true. Let's be honest about what is happening. Certain groups (in particular but not solely Islamic Extremists) are creating a climate of fear and intimidation that is normalising Jew hatred. I will never stand for that. Governments have spent too long hand-wringing, making excuses and hoping it would go away. It is time to call this what it is: a national emergency in our attitude, our urgency and our response. I will always engage with people who disagree with me. That is politics. But there is a difference between argument and intimidation. Shouting does not make a bad case good. It's done to silence others. And it certainly does not change the truth. The truth is that British Jews have been made to feel less safe in their own country. Our country. They are being singled out, threatened and harassed in ways that should shame everyone in public life. If we do not stand up now and stop this rise in antisemitism, then why bother saying "Never Again" at Holocaust Memorial Day? Because this is how it starts. I am not prepared to play along with the pretence that this is normal, or manageable, or just another example of tension between groups. It really is not. It is targeted hatred and it is getting worse. So my message is simple. Not here. Not in Britain. And not on our watch. We need to stop the hand-wringing and start doing the right thing. That means standing with British Jews openly, unapologetically and without fear.

Hi @ZackPolanski, why have you deleted the page on your website where you laid out your party’s desire for a “world without borders”? This was a member motion too. At the first sign of pushback, you delete your history and run for the hills? Coward. migration.greenparty.org.uk/policies/

For those who missed it: He implied that she will fail her exams because they are there with him (instead of studying) and that it will be all his fault. Ted, not expecting the King’s light-hearted jab, jumps in to say that she is studying now. Pretty funny 😂

Religious kids used to be noticeably happier than secular ones. After 2012, that gap exploded. Jonathan Haidt dropped this on The Daily Show: Religious children have built-in community, rituals, and traditions that anchor them. Secular kids, especially those handed phones and iPads early, are left floating without real roots. Haidt (who’s an atheist) says non-religious parents now have to work much harder to intentionally create stable social connections, because a network of strangers, bots, and algorithms is not a community — it’s crazy-making. In the smartphone era, the protective effect of community and ritual has weakened dramatically for everyone, but especially for kids growing up without traditional anchors. We traded thick, real-world belonging for thin digital freedom — and we’re watching a generation pay the price in anxiety and meaninglessness. Do you think religious community still gives kids a real advantage in 2025, or can intentional secular parents create equally strong roots without it? What’s worked (or failed) in your experience?

Everyone’s told plastic pollution is a “global” problem… But the data say something very different. Roughly 90–95% of ocean plastic comes from a handful of rivers... mostly in Asia and Africa. The Yangtze. Ganges. Mekong. Nile. Niger. Not your grocery bag in Colorado. Not your straw in D.C. A small number of poorly managed waste systems are doing the overwhelming majority of the damage. The UN isn’t structuring this like a solvable engineering problem... it’s structuring it like a permanent global revenue stream. Because if you solve it quickly and directly… there’s no need for decades of committees, funding mechanisms, and “frameworks.”

Like the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers, genteel Richmond has succumbed to yobbery. Burkas can be seen, even in mega posh Kew. The youths are for a social media prank squirting water at mainly elderly ladies, who of course object to it. The situation soon gets violently out of hand.

Experts say the moment shows critically endangered orangutans can use canopy bridges to overcome forest fragmentation, a major threat to their survival. 🔗 trib.al/zfovNyM

My choir - which specialises in singing at charity running events - has been dropped from Sunday's London Marathon. Because I don't believe people can change sex - and said so publicly. We were dropped by the disability charity Scope - who we've supported for the past two years - on the basis of two anonymous complaints. About MY gender critical beliefs. So not only am I being discriminated against due to my lawfully held views - so are other people. After months of preparation ... disappointed is not the word. Suffice to say, if there are any organisations out there who are happy to welcome volunteers with lawfully held beliefs on sex and gender, we'd love to be your 'cheer squad' at Sunday's London Marathon. Our running themed 'set list' is always a hit with runners and we bring fun, enthusiasm and props in spades (hence the 'Eye Of The Tiger' mask). We'd love to help support runners raise money for good causes at this year's London Marathon - as we have done in previous years. An interesting thing is going, here. In the cat world, being the one that grooms the other one means they're the boss. In the bunny world it's the other way round: the one being groomed is the boss. So these two are both thinking they're the boss.
