I ordered Starbucks from Doordash and when it was delivered, the driver sat in my driveway for a little too long, so I sent a message in the app and asked if everything was Ok. She replied saying that she spilled all my coffees in her car. I immediately got a bunch of paper towels and cleaner, and I took them out to her. Helped her clean her car. I was on a flight from New York to London. A man in business class—expensive suit, Rolex, the whole deal—was being absolutely horrible to the flight attendants from the moment we boarded. Snapping his fingers at them. Calling them “girl” and “hey you.” Complaining about everything. When dinner service came, our flight attendant, Maria, was incredibly professional despite his rudeness. She brought him his meal and he looked at it with disgust. “This looks like garbage. Take it back. Bring me something edible.” Maria smiled politely. “I’m sorry you’re not satisfied, sir. Unfortunately, this is the meal you selected when you booked. I don’t have alternatives in business class tonight.” He raised his voice. “Do you know how much I paid for this ticket? Do you know who I am?” Maria didn’t miss a beat. “Sir, if you don’t know who you are, I’m not sure how I can help you with that. Would you like the meal or not?” The passengers around him started laughing. His face turned red. He ate the meal in silence for the rest of the flight.
