@TheHerdsHeadset @collegesoccers Exactly. A very good example is Harding. He is flat out not a D1 player, and has actually probably digressed since his Freshman year.

D’Antoni is the savior of basketball for Marshall. But it was time for him to go. Hiring his assistant who (so far) has not done as good of a job at developing players while playing the exact same scheme has never made much sense to me. I love Corny. Great person. I think he’s a good coach too. But we’ve certainly not gotten better under his tenure so far. Maybe next year?

SBC basketball is flat out awful. It’s very disheartening to know that we came into this Confrence with a very healthy basketball program that was primed and ready for success. And 5 years later we’ve yet to win a Confrence championship and have underachieved at every corner. What needs to change?

Georgia Southern has totaled 200 points against Marshall in just TWO games this season. In the last 12 games of the Eagles season, they have 3 wins. 2 against MU and 1 against ULM (by 3 points).

@MarshallTBlog Definitely basketball. With football we knew it was going to be a rebuilding year although they showed promise. With basketball, we have all the pieces to be an elite team (in the sunbelt) but poor defense and MVK being out has killed us.

I’m not sure who was less enjoyable to watch this season, football or men’s basketball.

@SkoHerd Definitely, Harding is not a D-1 player. I could actually name 2 or 3 more on the roster who shouldn’t be playing anywhere but NAIA.
