The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said. “There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him.” [Al-Bukhārī] 1. Planting trees is regarded as an act of charity (Ṣadaqah) and the planter receives blessings from all those who benefit from it. 2. Trees have to be treated with respect and not to be unnecessarily harmed. 3. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ also had a deep spiritual connection to trees and also used trees as a metaphor to describe the believing Muslims.

The Muslim Lantern said to Sneako that many young Muslims Debaters in the da’wah space are more knowledgeable about Christianity than they are about Islam, something which he sees as a problem.

If your father were the president of a powerful nation, would you be worried about your future? Would you not believe that your father would help you through every situation you face? Then try to understand that no ruler or president can ever come close to the status and rank that Allāh has bestowed upon the Prophet ﷺ. And understand that your relationship with Rasūl Allāh ﷺ is closer and dearer than your relationship with your own father and mother. And understand that, as a member of his Ummah, when you have the Noble Prophet ﷺ, who is more compassionate and caring toward you than your own parents, why should you be overly anxious about your condition in this life and the next? Send blessings upon him, love him, and follow him with all your heart, and see how he will embrace you with his care in this life and in the Hereafter. Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa ʿalā azwājihī wa dhurriyyatihī.

Do not seek people’s approval or validation. it will only leave you exhausted. We have learned that no matter how kind, generous, or sincere you are toward others, there will always be those who remain dissatisfied. Instead, strive for the pleasure of Allāh and His Beloved Messenger ﷺ. In their pleasure lies true peace, lasting contentment, and genuine joy.

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; so invoke many blessings on me on that day, for your blessing will be submitted to me.” [Sunan Abī Dāwūd, 1531]

The Noble Prophet ﷺ said: “May Allāh brighten the face of a person who hears a tradition from us and he memorizes it until he can convey it to others. Perhaps he will convey it to one who understands better than him, and perhaps one who conveys knowledge does not understand it himself.” [Sunan Abī Dāwūd, 3660] “Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to those who follow him, without detracting from their rewards at all. Whoever calls to misguidance will have sin upon him similar to those who follow him, without detracting from their sins at all.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 2674]

There are two opinions regarding whether the knee is considered part of the ʿawrah or not. However, when it comes to football shorts, it is not possible to avoid exposing the thighs when playing. Therefore, the knees should also be covered in order to ensure that the thighs remain covered. Additionally, the shorts should be extra loose-fitting to ensure proper coverage.

Remember to cover your ʿawrah, brother! In the picture, you can see the Senegalese football player Idrissa Gana Gueye. He does something that perhaps only one player at the level he plays at does: he covers his ʿawrah from the navel to the knees. In Islām, it is not only sisters who are required to cover themselves; men are required to do so as well. Of course, there are different Islamic opinions regarding the exact extent of a man’s ʿawrah and whether the knees themselves are included or not. However, if one holds the view that the knees must be covered, then it is obligatory to do so. Many young brothers play football and participate in other sports while forgetting that they must dress in a way that properly covers their ʿawrah. It is not an excuse that it is hot or that wearing longer shorts is inconvenient. We would not accept that excuse from sisters who choose not to wear ḥijāb either. Ḥarām remains ḥarām for brothers as well when they do not cover themselves properly. Idrissa Gana Gueye has shown that it is entirely possible to play while properly covered during the world’s biggest football tournament (the World Cup) and in the best football league (the Premier League). So, what is your excuse?

Your body is an amānah entrusted to you by Allāh Taʿālā, given to you as a blessing, not something you own outright. If someone offered you 10 million dollars in exchange for your sight, your hearing, your speech, your sense of taste, an arm, a leg, or your ability to walk, would you accept it? Of course not. So be grateful for what Allāh has granted you, and take care of yourself with respect, responsibility, and gratitude. Al-ḥamdu li-Llāh.

Many duʿāt today seem far too willing to overlook serious matters. This guy openly embraced someone who insults the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. Remember that sinners can repent and be forgiven, but betrayal is a different matter altogether. The guy named Shamail Nadwi from India, who debated the well-known atheist and murtad Javed Akhtar did the same. Disgraceful and disgusting people. Die in shame.

Wow, these daa’is are really cucked out. A guy really hugged someone who insulted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Murtads, they feel not a single bit of love, or gheerah for their Messenger ﷺ . May Allah curse this guy (Dr. Nasser Karimian).

Imām Mālik ibn Anas told a young boy: “O son of my brother! Learn manners (ādāb) before you acquire knowledge.” [Ḥilyat al-Awliyāʾ] “I would rather that the kids (in madāris/schools) had abundant adab and a little bit of knowledge, rather than a little bit of adab and abundant knowledge, because the heaviest thing on our scales on the Day of Judgement will be good character.” — Shaykh Ḥabīb ʿAlī Abū Bakr

Allāh Taʿālā states: “If one observes the sanctity of the symbols of God, then such things emanate from the piety of the hearts.” [Qurʾān, 22:32] We need to keep this verse in mind no matter what we do. Unfortunately, there are some common practices among Muslims that contravene Islamic etiquette and adab, which need our attention and correction. Some of these are: — Feet towards the Qurʾān or any Islamic book. — Feet towards the Qiblah. — Feet towards one’s parents. — Feet towards teachers and elders. The Holy Prophet ﷺ said: “The best amongst you are those with the best manners.” [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 6029]
