@pseudiom PART I It is an ancient Mariner, And he stoppeth one of three. But he wasn’t on the guest list, So they informed security. ‘Life-in-Death, she saved me’ He said, fighting the guard’s grip. And transfixed the Wedding-Guest murmured ‘That’s a hell of an acid trip’.

@notnotdylm why would it have anything to do with little Caesars? Americans can't be real

one thing I always have loved about Canada is they'll have some local equivalent to an American thing that's just slightly off enough to be really funny. Like how they have a pizza chain called Pizza Pizza that has nothing to do with Little Caesars.

@HoshiNoCosmo In the Peanuts comic strip, Lucy was a toddler when she was introduced. Linus debuted later as a baby. They were both the same age as Charlie Brown when their brother Rerun was born, who grew to be only slightly younger than the main cast by the end.

@alicemazzy @hikari_no_yume There’s a tropical fruit called pawpaws that grows in the eastern US from Ohio to Alabama that’s fallen from grace just because it ripens faster than it can be transported refrigerated.

one thing I didn't expect before moving to asia is the west has like 20% of the fruits and vegetables that exist at most. like I went to europe and they had all the same shit as america and thought nothing of it but then you go to asia and it's like leaving the tutorial world

I’ve thought this as well at times but ultimately I don’t think I agree - Born in the USA is another case. I think people do know what the lyrics mean. However they contain a more fundamental and important American value: they rock.
Jared Yates Sexton@JYSexton

It’s incredible that, for over fifty years, people have been rocking Fortunate Son as a patriotic jam because of the born to wave the flag line and never once listened to the rest of the song.

@beaversfilm The best part of the subtitles is that they garble the lyrics to “Jean Kayak and his ACME Applejack” so that they become what a drunk half-remembering the song would actually sing.

We know, we know… the digital VOD subtitles are a little off. We’ll fix that with the blu ray.
Ron Pitts@RonLPitts

@beaversfilm watching Your movie with my girls, the oldest is a film School Grad that’s working in the movies in Atlanta, perfect intriguing film for Fathers Day. By the way we are watching on PRIME and their subtitles called the Raccoons “beavers” … fun flick so far

This tweet is obviously insane but honestly I would love more "scrappy underdogs overthrow the oppressive regime" plots where the resistance is morally compromised in ways most resistance movements usually are. There are basically no examples of this in pop culture?
Suppressed News.@SuppressedNws

You watched "The Hunger Games" and sided with the resistance. You watched "Star Wars" and sided with the resistance. You watched "The Matrix" and sided with the resistance. You watched "Divergent" and sided with the resistance. You watched "V for Vendetta" and sided with the resistance. When it's fiction you understand. Yet you refuse to see it when it's the reality you’re living in….

In the ruins of North America, there were still be tens of thousands playing baseball like the Mesoamerica ballgame, horse racing would obviously make a return, and likely 1920s style wrestling. I feel like this isn't addressed enough.
