📣 The Government has published its response to their call for evidence on unpaid internships.
While we welcome the commitment to ending unpaid internships and ensuring both employers and interns are more aware of their rights to minimum pay, we’re disappointed they've stopped short of an explicit legal ban 🧵⤵️

Unfortunately we still see this in psychology, whether it is unpaid “placement years” as part of undergraduate degrees, or voluntary assistant psychologists/research assistants roles. Accessible to those that can afford to work for free… #classdiscrimination
