Say what you want about the convoy protests in Ottawa, but what happened to Tamara Lich should concern all of us. Tamara took a stand during a difficult time in Canada. In response, she faced a level of enforcement that many believe was excessive and intended to discourage others from speaking out. A grandmother. No criminal history. Yet treated as if she were a violent threat. A Canada-wide warrant issued for her arrest for an alleged bail breach and then locked up in jail without bail. This isn’t just about one case. It’s about how far authorities can go when people challenge government decisions. Now she’s in a legal fight that could set important precedents. If fairness, accountability, and civil liberties matter to you, this is worth supporting and watching closely. givesendgo.com/my-stand-again…
Tamara Lich 🇨🇦@LichTamara

My Stand Against Malicious Prosecution and Negligent Investigation: Over 4 years have passed since the peaceful Freedom Convoy which saw many truckers and supporters, including Chris Barber and myself, arrested on the streets of Ottawa. What followed was the longest mischief trial in the history of the Commonwealth. Both of us were convicted of mischief for our part in the most peaceful and polite protest of all time, and sentenced to 18 months of house arrest. Even more outrageous? A single group photo at a JCCF awards dinner in Toronto while surrounded by lawyers, fully allowed under my bail conditions, triggered a Canada-wide arrest warrant for an alleged breach of conditions, which did not occur. There was no investigation. No call to my lawyer. It was issued like I was a violent criminal. Homicide detectives flew me back to Ottawa in leg shackles, I lost my job, precious time with my family, was denied bail, and spent 30 days in remand. All for a non-violent mischief case. I'm pleased to announce that I have filed a lawsuit against the Ottawa Police, the Crown prosecutor, and others for malicious prosecution & negligent investigation because this isn’t just about me; it’s about stopping this kind of abuse so no Canadian ever faces it again. This will be a daunting undertaking and for that reason I have started a GiveSendGo campaign in hopes to help fund the fight, including a $25,000,00 retainer and costs estimated at around $100,000.00. I've included the campaign link below and the full statement of claim is available at officialtamaralich.com Thank you to everyone for all your love, support, and encouragement these past few years and for helping me continue the fight. givesendgo.com/my-stand-again…

🚨🇨🇦 Mark Carney just told the nation that Canada’s ties to the U.S. 🇺🇸 are a "weakness." 🚫 If that’s true, why is 91% of his personal wealth still sitting in U.S. holdings? 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Why are his kids at U.S. universities? 🇺🇸 Why is Diana Carney still collecting checks from U.S. corporations? If the U.S. is such a threat to Canada, lead by example: Liquidate. Sell the stocks. 🇺🇸 Bring the kids home. 🏛️ You can’t lecture us on "independence" while your family's future is built on the American economy. 🇺🇸 Pure hypocrisy. 🤔 @MarkJCarney #CdnPoli #MarkCarney #ConflictOfInterest #Trump #USA #Hypocrisy

After being arrested on a fake breach that has since been dropped by the crown, I was flown in leg shackles to Ottawa from Calgary with two homicide detectives as escorts. Due to overcrowding, my second day in cells with Ergine, a pregnant addict with schizophrenia, the guards brought in another girl, also with serious mental health issues, and gave her a mat and a blanket and she slept on the floor.
Lion Advocacy@LionAdvocacy

@lawandchocolate Current overcrowding in Canadian jails likely violates international law, as you can probably attest. Adding more space might not be the long-term solution, but it addresses current breaches in livable conditions. Stacking modular homes apparently is a thing… Ask Carney.

@IRanMediaco I don’t know why we pretend that Iran will keep their word for half a day the Koran say to kill all Christian’s so that’s what they want to do by any means necessary. I wish our side would stop talking to them. They are Islamonazis and they’re committed to lying.

Today, Canadians watch helplessly as a man who was never elected as a member of parliament, was not a Canadian resident, and who had no relationship to Canadians prior to being (s)elected as Prime Minister steals an unelected majority Liberal government. The irony of some falsely accusing the Freedom Convoy of trying to overthrow the government. What do you think is happening??!? @ChrisBarber1975 @TomMarazzo

@Cdn_Eliana @jeremy_patzer Personally voted CPC because he, IMO, is the best for this constituency. I would stick with best candidate, even if there was a cross over of any kind. (I am not suggesting there is or was) just stating my opinion. I have always said I do not want PP as PM.

Because sometimes (not this time) it truly is a matter of conscience, or what the constituents truly want. It's also a very different thing when an MP in the sitting government crosses to the opposition because they truly feel their party has lost their way, than when an opposition MP crosses purely out of self interest or personal gain. I liked what Pierre proposed. If an MP crosses, their constituents should have recourse, ability to recall their MP. If the decision really is in the best interest of their constituents, that shouldn't be a concern to any MP considering crossing, but if it's not, that should give them pause...

Shows you how valuable Marilyn’s word is. Now that she has crossed the floor, will she take her own advice? Since she received a strong mandate from her constituents last election, anything short of honouring her own word is proof that she is acting out of self interest.
Dean Allison@DeanAllisonMP

Gladu on January 11, 2026, “Really, the whole point of being an MP is to represent your constituents. So if they’re voting you in under one platform –for you to switch for whatever reasons, just seems to me to not be representing what you’re supposed to be there to represent. “We elected you under this banner, and if you don’t want to be under that banner, then we deserve a chance to have a redo.”

Funny how everyone demanding Pierre Poilievre step down was never with him to begin with. Conservative members across Canada chose Pierre with 87% of the vote. That mandate came from the grassroots. Floor crossers do not discredit him. They discredit themselves. They did not even tell their EDAs. One reportedly did not tell his wife. Voters will remember who stood firm and who folded.

@Annans4g The problem is CPC is too ignorant to see the #1 problem. What does PP have on the party. Invites select few to pay $1000 plate dinner to vote to see if he stays as leader. Surprise, all his rich buddies keep him in!
