Prepare for Poor Air Quality Days: Older adults are more vulnerable to wildfire smoke. Keep reliever medications accessible and make sure you have at least a one‑week supply. Planning ahead helps protect your heart and lungs on smoky days.

Wildfire smoke is becoming more common, but a little preparation goes a long way. Check the AQHI & have a plan for days with poor air quality. Seal gaps around windows/doors, gather HVAC filters & air purifiers, and know where to find cleaner air spaces in your community.
