I like the Logan Stanley trade because of his physicality and willingness to answer the bell when skilled players are targeted. It is something the Sabres haven’t had in a long time. However, I’m not liking what I’m seeing on defense. Been a tough start for him.

[AMHERST POLICE, NY] -- The following is a small sample of calls the Amherst Police Department responded to: 10/05/2025 Amherst Police responded to Clearfield Dr for the report of subjects going through cars at 2:08 AM. The subjects were located and immediately uncooperative. Further investigation revealed one of the three 15 year olds was in possession of numerous stolen items. Once taken into custody, he stated, "So when I see y'all, I'll kill the f%$& out y'all." All three juveniles from Buffalo were turned over to their parents. City of Tonawanda Police Officers said they had encountered the same individuals checking cars in their jurisdiction but did not have enough probable cause to arrest them at the time. 10/06/2025 Amherst Police responded to Niagara Falls Blvd and Romney Rd for the report of a Hit-and -Run accident. A responding officer located the suspect vehicle. The driver denied being involved but later said he fled due to a past DWI arrest. After failing Field Sobriety Tests, the 30 year old male was charged. 10/07/2025 An Amherst Police Officer stopped a vehicle and determined the driver was intoxicated. Since Erie County Law mandates that a vehicle is towed after a DWI arrest, the passenger was advised to find a ride or leave the scene. He told officers he would not allow the car to be towed and became combative, stating, “I make more money than all y'all. Okay? I make a hundred thousand dollars a year. I'm gonna violate you, you don't know who the f%$& I am.” He later grabbed an officer and then ran when they attempted to take him into custody. He continued to fight with officers but was eventually returned to HQ for processing. 10/09/2025 Amherst Police Detectives made an arrest after an investigation into the Robbery/Shooting that occurred on 09/24/2025. A 20 year old male was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Robbery, and Assault. 10/09/2025 Amherst Police responded to the area of Hopkins Rd for the report of a vehicle that fled the scene of a car accident. A suspect vehicle was located on North Forest Rd near Union Rd. The driver failed Field Sobriety Tests and was later charged with Driving Under the influence of Drugs. During the booking process, the 43 year old male asked, “how long does cocaine stay in your system?” 10/10/2025 Amherst Police responded to an area grocery store for a larceny in progress. Officers located the suspect nearby who was in possession of nearly $700 worth of Bills merchandise. Further investigation revealed he was also in possession of crack cocaine that was packaged for sale as well as powder cocaine. A 41 year old male was charged. The subject was on Federal Probation for gang related offenses. 10/11/2025 Amherst Police responded to a Niagara Falls Blvd store for the report of a larceny where the suspects fled in a vehicle. An officer located the vehicle and stopped it. A male and a female immediately exited the vehicle and walked away in opposite directions. The female was apprehended and it was determined the pair had stolen $1,900 worth of merchandise. This was her 41st arrest. She would only identify the person she was stealing with as “her cousin” and she said that he was going to split the money with her after the stolen goods were sold.
