My new favorite shopping method involves searching for the item I want to buy and browsing a few interesting websites without making any purchases. Then, I let the targeted ads present me with deals and various options, and I buy when I see something I like. It’s like having a personal shopper, but for free! 😂

Unpopular Opinion ... If TikTok were to be banned in the US (like it is in India), it would be no great loss for the American people. While it will inconvenience some Creators, the overwhelming minority of Creators (less than 1%) make a substantial living from the platform, and there are better options that didn't exist in 2020 for those Creators, often with better monetization... They lost a lot of support when they ended the Creator Fund instead of just tying the pool for Creators to a % of platform earnings so that when TikTok wins, Creators win... Instead, they did the opposite, alienating the majority of Smaller Creators on the platform. The algorithm also isn't what it used to be, and now they are trying to shift to longer content, which YouTube is already the superior platform for. There just isn't a MOAT or problem that TikTok solves anymore that justifies all of its problems and downsides for both Creators and Consumers. At this point, it's just an unnecessary vice...
