@goodfoodgal They should face the sentence they would face in the country they have come from. If we did this, our crime rates would drop dramatically. People must accept that lawlessness has consequences

These men murdered a 70 year woman in front of her grandchild yesterday when she went grocery shopping at Ipswich in Queensland. So why have these men not been arrested? Here they are. Right here. What, can’t find them? I remember in 2020 I couldn’t turn around without a police officer being there: telling people to stand up on the beach, asking people to put a mask on, manning the state border to check vax status, following people in the M1 to make sure they weren’t driving more that 20km, raiding restaurants, arresting people at coffee shops… Wish we had that same police presence now..,

Friday is a day of prayer and fasting for peace in the Holy Land. For those who live or work in the Sydney CBD, this is a great opportunity to come together as people of faith for this cause.

Six years ago today, my brother Jim died. Although he faced lots of challenges and cruelties in life he enjoyed the love of family, friends and a life-long girlfriend. No matter what happened, he never complained. Always loved and sadly missed.

I am heartbroken as I write that my eldest son James passed away yesterday at the age of 43. His journey has been very difficult for many years and in many ways, at last he has found peace and is now with his dad Mike. My son, I love you so much 💔💔💔

What an example of how to live.
Father Jim Sichko@JimSichko

Mohamed Mashally died yesterday, the "doctor of the poor", he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1967 with 110 cum laude, Dr Mohamed Mashally had been visiting the poor in his city in Egypt for over 50 years, Muslims, Coptic Christians... he did everything for free, in his modest clinic, he also gave money to his poorest patients to buy medicines and charged (less than a dollar) in exchange for patients who were financially well. Dozens of patients lined up every day in front of his humble clinic where Dr. Muhammad worked 10 hours a day from 9am to 7pm to treat the largest number of people. Muhammad Mashali never owned a car not even a cell phone. He walked from his house to the clinic on foot even though he was over 80 years old. When one of the rich Gulf gentlemen heard about his story, he gave him $20,000, he also gave him a car to move around, but after a year, upon his return to Egypt, the rich man found out that Muhammad had even sold the car to help his patients poor, even to buy materials, analyses, Muhammad Mashaly said: After graduating I found out that my father sacrificed his whole life to become a doctor. Then I promised God that I would not take a penny from the poor and live a life in the service of my neighbor culture or religion. A man who dedicated his whole life to saving lives and helping anyone in need. May the earth be light for you ❤

It was a privilege for me to address the students of Campion College last night. They are intelligent and articulate, well read and eager to engage in the contest of ideas. Campion is helping address the intellectual malaise that has beset our society. campion.edu.au/dr-anthony-cle…

Sunrise at the Sea of Galilee. In the last few hours 300 Sydney pilgrims, aboard 3 boats, celebrated Mass with Archbishop Fisher at this same beautiful location.

I know I’m posting into the void & no one will say anything, but this is the only place I have. Max, my constant companion for the last 18 years, passed away this morning. I am beyond heartbroken. This is my Max from two days ago. My heart is being ripped out of my chest .

Great to see staff pilgrims from Sydney Catholic Schools about to leave for the Holy Land and World Youth Day. They are part of a very large contingent from the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney. ⁦@BishopUmbers
