This is the correct takeaway. In lib vernacular: “do not invalidate somebody’s lived experience.”
If the economy is “good” and a voter tells you it’s not, it’s tempting to say they don’t get it. But 9 times out of 10, they say the economy isn’t good because it’s not FOR THEM.
