Last week @californiapuc took two actions to advance our understanding of the role clean, renewable hydrogen can play in decarbonizing our economy - one directing utility pilots to evaluate standards for the safe injection of H2 into California’s pipeline system

Today @californiapuc adopted a resolution that directs utilities to take no more than 125 days on average to connect new EV chargers to the grid. This will be crucial as more EVs hit the road, especially trucks and buses, in compliance with @AirResources' rules

Utilities to focus on technical assistance to customers to guide them through the energization process and help select appropriate rates and technology for each customer

Program and its marketing/outreach will be administered by a third party to free up utilities to interconnect new EV charging load as fast as possible. No utility ownership of behind-the-meter infrastructure is allowed, which will reduce impact on customer rates and affordability
