📐⭐🎨 Our Year 5 artists have been mastering geometric design, taking inspiration from Islamic patterns from The Golden Age. The attention to detail is truly impressive! 🎨⭐📐

Nursery have had an eggciting, time this week looking at the text 'We're going on an Egg Hunt' which is very repetitive and fun to join in with. We've counted eggs, decorated eggs, made Easter cards and playdough nests, built bunny houses and decorated an Easter tree!

Reception really enjoyed the sunshine last week! We got out into the school grounds, determined to find the signs of Spring! The 🌞 and warmth was quite a contrast to today's weather! 💨🌦️🌨️

Clifford's Choir inspire me so much. They learnt this beautiful song today in less than 15 minutes. It is called 'Mimi nikawa tuwewe', which is Swahili for 'I am like you', or 'You are the same as me'. Thank you to Zangi for the song and to @abrahamsdarren for the inspiration!

Take It To The Bridge have a new favourite band, @TheReytons . They are loving playing 'Kids Off the Estate'!

We've been sharing our mother/home languages to celebrate International Mother Language Day! Last week children became teachers and taught their friends some words and phrases from their home or other languages that they know!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's a superhero! Last week Nursery had fun finding out about superheroes. We had an exciting time driving our superhero car on lots of adventures. We went to the moon, under the sea, on holiday and all the way around the world! 🦸🏽‍♂️🦸🏻‍♀️

We have particularly appreciated Mr Pittaway and Mr Towe's dedication to cleanliness in preparation for gymnastics this afternoon! If you're in need of any high level dusting at home, feel free to contact them!

✨ Year 5 absolutely shone in their drama workshop with Ryan this week! They explored the Golden Age, from the importance of the River Tigris to the fascinating discoveries shared in the House of Wisdom! 🌟📚🌊

Loving the @tickit_education Talking Tubes outside in the beautiful ☀️today! What a great way to encourage back and forth conversation! There was a bit of work to be done first in establishing the correct etiquette for holding such an old fashioned item, but we got there!

As part of our 'Up, Up and Away' theme, Year 2 have been working on a series of art lessons. The children have practised mixing primary colours and using different sized paint brushes to paint within the lines of a variety of shapes. Super outcomes Year 2!
