Exactly - he endorsed them many times, then they backstabbed him.

Trump didn't turn on MTG, Massie, or Boebert... They turned on Trump. Yet somehow you're blaming Trump for attacking his attackers.

This is the story of Tomer Nagar.
On October 7th at 6 am, Tomer went on guard duty at the Kissufim base.
Tomer, a young soldier who had been serving for about 10 months, was on guard duty alone with his weapon – a Negev machine gun – and a full ammunition load – 675 rounds.
A little over half an hour passed peacefully, until at 6:37 the Hamas terrorists began their invasion right before his eyes.
First on motorcycles, later on foot.
The observers at the post saw the vast array of forces of the invading force and realized that Tomer's chances of surviving alone against them were zero.
Therefore, he was ordered from the base's operations room to run inside immediately.
Tomer had other plans.
He saw many soldiers trapped in the bunker and realized that the only way to save them was to cover their retreat back to the base with fire.
He also realized that the isolated forward position he held was delaying the enemy's advance and giving the soldiers at the post precious minutes to dress and arm themselves, take up defensive positions, and prepare for combat.
Tomer Nagar decided, without why or how to ignore the repeated calls on the radio calling him to return to the post and save himself, and instead to fight alone.
With coolness, courage, combat professionalism, bravery, and unparalleled sacrifice, he remained in the bunker, and for forty full minutes he waged a calculated, single-handed battle that achieved both of his goals: The rescue of the soldiers from the shelter and the purchase of the precious time needed for the Kissufim outpost to organize and prepare for combat.
Tomer Nagar fired all the ammunition he had, down to the last bullet, and hit dozens of terrorists.
His body was found in his position in the bunker, surrounded by 675 empty Negev machine gun cartridges.
What is heroism? This is heroism.
May his memory be blessed.
