Proud of our Climate Futures IPCC authors, especially Dr Bec Harris whose work is published in today's #IPCC report. Her important work lives on.

Due to the forecast for Friday 7th, there is a change of venue for the memorial. We will now gather at 47 Hinsby Rd, Taroona for a short memorial service starting at 2.30pm, followed by drinks and eats at Taroona Bowls Club. We may overflow outside: do bring wet weather gear.

For those in Tasmania, Bec’s memorial will be held at Taroona Beach at 2:30pm Friday 7 Jan, followed by a get-together at Taroona Bowls Club. Friends & colleagues welcome. Due to COVID restrictions, we need to know exact numbers. Please RSVP here if you haven't already done so.

Most importantly, Bec was just a wonderful person- in addition to be being smart as a whip, innovative & hard working, she was kind, funny, & fabulous to be around. The best traveling & workshop companion! I will miss her so much xxx

The Climate Futures team announces with deep sadness the death of Dr Bec Harris. Bec was @ClimateFutures_ Director, a respected climate scientist, an IPCC Lead Author, a brilliant researcher. As a friend & colleague, Bec was both inspiring and much fun. We will miss her greatly.
