Let's be clear: when an election is called, it should be held. A vote is lent to us for 4 years. We must not take voters for granted. The government must NOT cancel our May elections. They risk disengaging our voters even further.

The Labour government is running scared of the opinion polls. The cancellation of the mayoral elections next year just goes to show that they are terrified of losing control to a Green mayor in Norfolk and Suffolk.
