@HereforHereford @SimonLennane @HfdsCouncil That's correct, there is a process at the count when candidates and agents are asked to check the spoiled papers and you can accept some if agreed but some are clearly spoilt.

@CllrDaniel @SimonLennane @HfdsCouncil Many people don't realise that if they put anything on their ballot paper other than a cross their vote is spoiled & won't be counted.

Worth looking at results page to see how in some wards seats were won or lost by narrow margins <20 votes & by 1 vote in Castle ward. This means your vote does count in #LocalElections. Wondering how many who wanted to vote & had a polling card were refused due to incorrect ID 🤔

@HereforHereford @SimonLennane @HfdsCouncil Some voting papers where spoilt with "no to voters ID" written on them, grest shame when a single vote can make such a difference.

@HereforHereford Absolutely, the Ross North ward was very close, 37 votes in it. I have since learnt some voters either forgot to vote, felt it wouldn't make a difference, couldn't get to the polling station or aren't online and didn't have ID but wanted to vote. Voting does make a difference!

Unfortunately I wasn't elected for the county seat for Ross on wye North ward, Chris Bartrum took it with 350 to 313 a close one indeed. Thank you everyone for your support/votes and remember to keep smiling. #rossonwye #Herefordshire

We have some great businesses in Herefordshire, when I was Mayor back in 2020 I had the privilege to go behind the scenes of some & re open a few to after floods, one of those was Ross Health & Fitness & I'm happy today to see they are celebrating 30 years in business. Well done
