Too on point not to share, “Aussie reply to Trump rant about NATO not being there for us. Mate. You run a country with 600,000 homeless people sleeping on the street tonight. A country where 40% of adults can't cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment and people are rationing it to survive. A country where medical debt is the number 1 cause of bankruptcy. A country where women are dying in hospital car parks because doctors are too scared of abortion laws to treat a miscarriage. You lock up more of your own citizens than any nation on earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. The land of the free has 2 million people in cages, and a quarter of them haven't even been convicted of anything. They're just too poor to make bail. Your life expectancy is going backwards. You're the only developed nation where that's happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba's. Your kids do active shooter drills between maths and English while you sell the gunmaker's stock to your mates. Your minimum wage hasn't moved in 15 years. You've got teachers working 2 jobs and veterans sleeping under bridges and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that didn't attack you. And you’ve got a convicted felon, adjudicating raping, paedophile protecting, porn star shagging insurrectionist running the biggest dumpster fire war campaign since the Taliban thanked you very much for losing again. And you're calling Greenland poorly run? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no. "NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years. And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess. So maybe before you start calling other countries poorly run, have a look at your own backyard, you spray-tanned aluminium siding salesman. The only thing poorly run in this picture is your fucking mouth. Credit (borrowed from) Jim Scroggins - original author 📷 unknown”

It’s fine for the US to close Cuba’s and Venezuela’s waters, and it’s fine for Israel to close Gaza’s waters, but if Iran blocks the countries that waged war against it from the Strait Of Hormuz, that’s unacceptable?

🚨THIS WEEK MP’S WILL VOTE ON A BILL TO GIVE POLICE UNPRECEDENTED POWERS TO BAN RECURRING PROTESTS TURNING A FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOM INTO A PRIVILEGE GRANTED BY THE STATE We cannot allow this government to create a society where protest is treated as a privilege granted by the state rather than a right held by the people. The right to protest is precious and must be defended. ITS NOT TOO LATE to stop this shocking and shameful attack on our fundamental right to protest. More than 40 civil society groups including the TUC and Greenpeace have joined forces to oppose this draconian crackdown on our right to freedom of expression and assembly - and you can help too by CONTACTING YOUR MP RIGHT NOW - tag them to this film and and ask them to oppose this

When 12 people were killed in Charlie Hebdo attacks, World Leaders thronged to Paris for a Solidarity March But no world leader has organised a march to protest killing 2000 civilians, ~200 children, ~300 women, 7 journalists, 178 health workers, and 3 UN peacekeepers in Lebanon

One of Orwell's nightmares materialised would be this: potential war criminals and arm manufacturers implicated in a genocide allowed to roam and operate freely, while citizens get arrested for opposing a genocide.

The UK is a place where thousands of people most of them elderly can be carried away and charged with terrorism for holding up a piece of paper bearing words the government doesn’t like. Where a 7 times elected member of parliament- me - can be held under terrorism legislation and effectively exiled from his country. Where 12,000 people a year are arrested for posts on social media. Where the government is hated by the people. And the people are hated by the government.

🚨 BREAKING: US ships are CLEARING the Strait of Hormuz right in Iran's face during negotiations, with reports of ships directly crossing the Strait President Trump PROMISED it would open and says we're now clearing it out "as a favor to countries all over the world" 🔥 "We’re now starting the process of clearing out the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to Countries all over the World, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others. Incredibly, they don’t have the Courage or Will to do this work themselves. Very interestingly, however, empty Oil carrying ships from many Nations are all heading to the United States of America to LOAD UP with Oil. Thank you for your attention to this matter! In 1988, the US warship USS Vincennes shot down Iran Air Flight 665 with two surface to air missiles, killing all 290 passengers on board. The US refused to issue an official apology or acknowledged wrongdoing, and official investigations were treated as an afterthought… Just in case you thought that the regime change campaign against Iran is because Washington cares about the lives and wellbeing of the Iranian people, instead of an attempt to bring Iran’s vast natural resources under its control.
Going Underground@GUnderground_TV

UAE’s🇦🇪 Mishal Kanoo: We DON’T RETALIATE against Iran because we don’t want the Iranian people to remember us as an ATTACKER! @afshinrattansi: You can see from Iran’s point of view, and I think it’s widely accepted that the UAE hosting United States bases, even though the UAE, like Saudi Arabia, has said on no account can they be used for attacks on Iran… Still creates a situation where hosting those bases makes GCC countries targets when the United States is involved in military operations. @MishalKanoo: “If I accept that premise, and I do, then I should also extend the same logic to Azerbaijan, which has Israeli bases, and to Turkey, which has American bases. There was a hit on Azerbaijan, of course, and then they said it was a mistake. The same thing happened with Turkey — “sorry, it’s a mistake” — and that was a NATO country after all. The reason why the IRGC is attacking our part of the world is because they perceive us to be an easy target — someone who is not going to retaliate. And we’re not going to retaliate, not because we can’t, but because there’s a difference between not wanting to retaliate and being unable to. They know that if you attack Turkey, you are dealing with a proper army and a capable military. Turkey has been actively involved in conflicts and skirmishes in Syria, Iraq, and Azerbaijan. It’s a frightening prospect for them because of both capability and proximity — Turkey has the military strength to project force directly into Iran. Azerbaijan is similar. It may not be viewed as a major military superpower, but there are approximately 15 million Azeris living in Iran. If Azerbaijan were to respond to an attack by moving in, Iran would face a significant internal and external challenge. This is why, in the eyes of the IRGC, we are seen as the easier target — and why they keep hitting us. The argument that this is simply because of American bases doesn’t fully hold. Yes, the bases are there — but what about American ships, frigates, and other assets? Why aren’t they being targeted in the same way? Why is it primarily our region, where there is little to no retaliatory trajectory from our side? It’s because we know that, ultimately, they will remain our neighbours. We do not have an issue with the Iranian population, and we don’t want to create one for the future. When the current rulers eventually move on and new leadership emerges, we don’t want to have a history where we were the aggressors.” -One of the UAE’s🇦🇪 most prominent businessmen @MishalKanoo, Chairman of the @KanooGroup_UAE, and one of Gulf Business’s Top 100 Powerful Arabs 2025. Never trust a negotiation with America. This is not cynicism. This is the documented historical record. 1954: Geneva Accords. America refuses to sign. Then actively destroys the conditions the Accords created. 1968: Paris Peace Talks begin. Nixon, as a private citizen, secretly contacts the South Vietnamese government and tells them to stall, to refuse to negotiate, because he'll give them a better deal after he wins the election. He sabotaged peace talks to win a presidency. This is documented. This is not disputed. This is called the Logan Act violation that was never prosecuted. The war then continued for seven more years. Millions more died. For a Nixon election strategy. 1973: Peace Accords signed. Immediately violated. 1975: War ends not through negotiation but because the Vietnamese military simply drove to Saigon and took it. Conclusion: Every time Vietnam trusted American paper, Americans used the pause to regroup, rearm, or reposition. The only thing that ended the war was making it impossible to continue. Not signatures. Not summits. Not Nobel Prizes. Impossibility. That is the lesson. Not just for Vietnam. For everyone sitting across a table from Washington, wondering whether to believe what they're being told.
