Yo Sam fun fact! Did you know that the badnik bounce is a function in the hedgehog engine 2 physics? but for some reason sonic team has nerfed it so sonic can't keep his speed or gain height from it. You can even hold the button for a floaty bounce Left vanilla Right my edits
