@AThinkingWoman Hi, I have taken risks with my time energy and money to change my farm to be more sustainable, in this case the government is supporting me. People respond to support, a lot of farming is low margin so reducing the financial risk is important to many. Farmers are not homogenous.

@ClonakiltyBeef So farmers are guardians of the countryside if they're paid for it.

Today's job, fencing off grassland strips beside a stream and a small river on the farm, these will be let grow during the summer and will provide a high value habitat for wildlife and act as a very effective buffer to filter surface water. #westcork #clonakilty #irishfood
