You may have noticed that I recently changed my profile name. Well, it's all thanks to my bestie from Sweden introducing me to One Piece 2 months ago. I've been just as obsessed with it as I am with Star Wars ever since. What's more is that I fell in love with the character Roronoa Zoro so quickly I consider him my "son." 17 years ago, I did the exact same thing with Ahsoka Tano by considering her my "daughter." She was everything I wanted in a character at the time, my "brain child" in a way and it made perfect sense for me to call her my own. Zoro had that exact same feel when I took one look at him. The past two months, every time I've interacted with a post about One Piece, my view counts have gone into the thousands, which hasn't happened in YEARS!!! My bestie said I would get more "recognition" if I was to make a One Piece account, and I think I'll take him up on that. But I'm not going to "throw away" nearly 14 years of hard work with my Star Wars account, so I decided to just merge the 2. Don't worry, I'm still going to do all the stuff I normally do regarding the Star Wars content (I'm STILL digitalizing the quotes from the films and series), but I decided that, once I get my work done from both franchises, I will post quotes from both daily. If I didn't have my work cut out for me then, I REALLY do now. But I don't care. There's a reason why I stayed around for nearly 14 years, even though I haven't been as "productive" as I have been in the past. Life gets in the way, unfortunately, but I sure as hell ain't gonna stop doing what I love or what makes me happy. As to which One Piece content I'm going to do, I'll be doing the anime and the Netflix series (yes, I know it's not canon, but it's so popular I can't "afford" not to). Primarily the canonized content, just like what I do with Star Wars. But since One Piece is in both Japanese and English, what format am I going to do? Most people prefer to watch it in the original Japanese audio, so I'm going to do it that way. Thankfully, on Netflix, the entire anime is on there and the English captions are actually just the translation subtitles, so that'll help out

To each their own. But one thing I REALLY hope the next season covers is how Maul ended up stranded on Malachor in the Rebels season 2 finale in the first place. It’s now been 10 years since that finale aired and we STILL haven’t gotten an answer. It’s been “driving me nuts” ever since!

@CloneWarsWords @lukesoutpost @OrangeGrove55 I’d give it a 7.5/10, the end was carrying pretty heavy, I hope they focus more on Mauls scheming and give him a proper duel to showcase his skills in the next season. He felt a little weak for my taste.

@z_kokonut @DVdrett From what I remember reading in the unfortunately soon to be discontinued magazine, Star Wars Insider, other media, such as video games, they had different actors voice Darth Vader instead of James Earl Jones. Why that is, I don’t know.

Is Darth Vader silent in Maul Shadow Lord because the original VA has,unfortunately, passed away or did they not have him speak for aura farming? RIP James Earl Jones.

Finally watching all of #StarWars Maul—Shadow Lord as my #StarWarsDay #Maythe4th celebration and I REALLY can’t believe that I’m actually “rooting for the bad guy!” At one point in the show, Maul was hounded by two Inquisitors, his cybernetic legs were severely damaged to the point where he could barely walk, he lost another brother and it brought back PTSD-like memories of Savage Opress. I’ll definitely say this much: Maul just CANNOT get a break from his tragic life. The only other time I felt sorry for him was when Savage died in his arms. (His face was what “moved me” to feel pity.) That’s why I love these animated shows SO DAMN MUCH!! They cover more aspects and more events that the films aren’t able to, and they challenge us to look at things differently by using real world scenarios in a fictional universe. My favorite recurring “theme” is that not everything is black and white and you have to look at a bigger picture in order to get the full story. Ever since learning that in TCW, I’ve lived my life that way and it has changed me A LOT!! And they say fictional movies/shows don’t teach you anything! What a bunch of bull!

I could care less. It’s always a treat to see him in action, but I’ll NEVER be able to forgive that a**hole for what he did to Ahsoka in the season 5 finale story arc. Same with Ki-Adi-Mundi and Saesee Tiin. Seriously, was it really THAT difficult just to say you were sorry!?!

For my #Maythe4th #StarWars celebration, I’ll be doing an entire rewatch of #StarWarsMaul. I missed last week’s episodes due to an “overloaded schedule” and I was going to watch them today, but I decided at the last minute to watch all 10 episodes today. They’re only around 23-25 minutes a piece and I can knock them off easily in just a day. Nothing else is going on today apart from my usual “helping my parents with whatever needs help,” so I can’t see any reason why not
