@Cloudspecman Came back to say I was wrong, its not clickteam related it actually is something baked into the Scanline renderer. For some reason even though max says the renders are 16 bits color depth, they seem to be closer to between 12-13 bits due to some int math? Im not entirely sure yet

I would like to add something to this tip.
If you want to make this even more accurate you can set up a curve that is circled in the first image, or you can contrast the image enough so that it can achieve the same effect (as seen in the second image).

ACCURACY TIP: Have you ever made an accuracy render and no matter how hard you try to get the colors right, you just cant? This is probably why. 3DS MAX doesnt use sRGB for its color space. Blender does. Instead, 3DS uses a basic 2.2 gamma curve. Heres how to do this in 2.79

ufmp is just too outdated now compared to them

Turns out i cant reply to this post so im gonna quote it
I recently found a solution to a problem this method has, if you increase the increment on the snap node the result moves to the top right, in order to get around that i used an add node to keep the result centered
