@UpdateNews724 Not sure about that because it will create a vacuum. More like revisit it's structure, clean house and adjust financial contributions.
English

@HairyWaterbeast @UpdateNews724 Then they wouldn’t have been called up to fight and die for the US after 9/11zzz
English

@Justmehairlip @UpdateNews724 They are the only country who’s ever needed to invoke it….
English

@vahalladude @UpdateNews724 The only country to invoke the NATO mutual defence clause? That would be the US after 9/11, Europeans sent their soldiers to fight and die for the US defence
English

Yes, that’s the only way to re-establish balance in the world, and wake Europe up.
The US will be fine without NATO, which original purpose was to contain the soviets. That mission was accomplished 30 years ago.
We don’t need to keep dangerous weapons in the idle hand of our politicians when we elect questionable people like Obama or Biden, and let’s not forget we almost got Kamala.
English

@ElaineLarsen2 @UpdateNews724 You contribute 16%, the same as Germany for example
English

@UpdateNews724 Yes, time for the European countries to step up, especially if they don’t appreciate all of the money we contribute!
English

@michaeleichert @DFTALBOT_RIGGER @UpdateNews724 It’s 16%, is the point you are trying to make that you blindly follow anything Trump says even when it’s made up rubbish?
English

@swaggertime77 @LindseyGrahamSC The US health system is a problem because you let companies charge more for drugs in the US than anywhere else and allow everyone to extreme profit and every level of your health care system, that’s not due to Europeans
English

To the hand-wringing Europeans who felt offended by President Trump rejecting being lectured by President Zelensky: Be my guest to defend Ukraine from Putin.
It is long past time for the Europeans to show they are capable of defending their own continent.
They’ve allowed their militaries to be hollowed out and when Europe speaks, no bad guy listens.
I say this with great sadness: The last group of people that I would count on to defend freedom are the Europeans.
English

@AmyIndy20 @FrankX1048466 @LindseyGrahamSC You clearly don’t understand that only one country has ever called for NATO members to fight for them… the US, or that the US contributes 16% to NATO budgets, same as Germany….
English

@FrankX1048466 @LindseyGrahamSC I could cry I want this so much we need to get out of NATO there is no reason for it. It's just a money scam. If we go to war and they are our allies they will help if not we'll fight like hell
English

@FrankX1048466 @tinternetqueen @LindseyGrahamSC You pay 16%… but don’t let facts stop you reuters.com/fact-check/us-…
English

@tinternetqueen @LindseyGrahamSC And we pay 70% of NATO’s bill
So suck in that
English

@LindseyGrahamSC Would that be all those European countries that sent their soldiers to fight and die when the the US invoked the NATO call for support after 9/11?
English

@norse_creative @McFaul Russia killed People who it opposed and U.K. nationals as collateral in the U.K. using radioactive poisoning and you think the ocean means they can’t do that in the U.S?
English

Come on Michael that's a one sided situation report .
Being thankful is the same as saying that he should recognise that Ukraine is in a precarious position , but Zelenskyy brought this on himself because he implied Russia was dangerous for the US too despite water being between them, it was
not a very productive tactic to open the start criticising both parties in an open press conference type situation. This discussion should have been done in private.
If he was there, it was because the outlines were pretty much pre-discussed and set, one would suppose ?
it's not easy to accept losing territory and having to compromise and even trust anyone after three years of war
and all that destruction but he was there and he knew those preconditions, but decided to derail everything because he's still in war mode and diplomacy is a different animal then hard negotiations.
Trump is a simple business type sawyer and deal maker but this is more complex so hard for him obviously too risking a too quick resolution without well thought out strategy behind it
Trump thinks in diplomatic terms that if you want to bring a foe to the negotiating table, you have to give him some respect, and saving Face.
That's the basic premise of any truce .
That's very very hard for Zelensky after fighting so hard - of course it is , and these discussions should have been done between teams and private not as a public discourse where he feels threatened.
The big question is whether everybody agrees there should be a truce and some concessions against economic repatriation and security guarantees for Ukraine by the US and Europe as a consequence , or whether this whole plan is unacceptable for both Ukraine and Europe.?

UKRAINE: Sec Rubio just got rug pulled. Zelensky assured him the mineral deal was locked in, and Rubio confidently told the president it was a done deal, with Zelensky visiting the White House to sign. Instead, Zelensky shifted the goalposts—demanding US ground troops, knowing Trump wouldn’t agree. Zelensky isn’t an honest broker.

A group of DC-based journalists, the White House Correspondents' Association, has long dictated which journalists get to ask questions of the President of the United States.
Not anymore.
Today, I was proud to announce that we are giving the power back to the people.
Moving forward, the ‘White House Press Pool,’ will be determined by the White House Press Team.
Legacy outlets who have participated in the press pool for decades will still be allowed to join – but we will also be offering the privilege to well-deserving outlets who have never been allowed to share in this awesome responsibility.

@RelampagoZ3 @Tatarigami_UA Russia had a none aggression pact with the Nazi’s which they were absolutely fine with until Hitler invaded them. The US then provided the Russians with weapons and food which Britain shipped for you to the Russians loosing hundreds of ships and thousands of lives…
English

@Tatarigami_UA Russia 🇷🇺 defeated Nazi Germany and Japan with us . They have been on our sided before more than many countries in the UN have. We bailed out. Oth France and the UK
English

@detroit2dc @Tatarigami_UA Because they would throw you out a window for criticising the government in Russia or just send you to the meat waves at the front rather than arrest you… have you ever been to Europe?
English

@Tatarigami_UA Actually, doesn’t feel bad. The EU has thrown itself into the toilet. I’m not against leaving NATO because of this fact. Our “shared” values are not shared anymore. Americans are more likely to be arrested for their social media posts when landing in the UK than we are in Russia.
English

@avfc_stef Because people drinking even more is going to make things so much better at matches. Which idiots think this is a good idea. The one element of professional rugby games football shouldn’t be copying and they pick it
English

Absolutely not!
I enjoy watching football and not being soaked in pisswarm backwashed lager thanks 👍
The Away Fans@theawayfans
Bristol City and multiple other clubs will take part in a trial permitting fans to drink alcohol in the stands while watching Championship matches. Finally… 👏

"Let's tax working people less...let's tax billionaires more"
If the country has to raise extra revenue who would seriously disagree with @garyseconomics here?
Those with the broadest shoulders should pay more.
